Sodexo Turns in a Strong Financial Performance

French outsourcing giant increases operating profits by 21.7 per cent and records strong organic growth in the year to 31 August.

Sodexo has reported a solid financial performance for fiscal year 2015 with revenue growth of 10 per cent in results announced by Chief Executive Officer Michel Landels yesterday.

Operating profits rose 21.7 per cent (11.9 per cent after exceptional charges and currency adjustments), with the group increasing its net income by 32.4 per cent.

Announcing a proposed dividend of €2.20 per share as well as a €300 million share buyback, Mr. Landels attributed the performance to the award of a large number of major On-site Services contracts with a significant facilities management services component, and the continuing popularity of Sodexo's Benefits and Rewards Services.

The group is forecasting an 8 per cent operating profits increase for the current year.
