FM Magazine event partner the International Property Show (IPS), has announced the 13th edition of the middle east's largest real estate event has attracted 100 exhibitors, as Dubai Land Department also reveals it registered property transactions totalling AED 42 billion (US$ 11.43 billion) during the first 45 days of 2017.

Representatives from Dubai Land Department (DLD) and officials from real estate companies have unveiled plans for the 13th International Property Show 2017 in Dubai which is the only event of its kind to facilitate retail sales and purchases for local and international properties.

The event organisers revealed today that the 2017 event will feature more than 100 exhibitors from 40 countries representing international developers, brokers, consultants and investors.

Addressing the press event were Majid Saqer Al Marri, Senior Director of the Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Center within the Dubai Land Department (DLD), Masood Al Awar, Chief Commercial Officer of Dubai Properties, Sandeep Jaiswal, Chief Operating Officer of Azizi Developments, and Dawood Al Shezawi, CEO of the organisers, Strategic Marketing & Exhibitions.

It was highlighted that the show is the only of its kind that allows direct real estate deals as a result of a special authorization provided by Dubai's Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) since its launch; moreover, that all exhibiting companies may accept deposits or full payments for properties they sell.

"DLD is very interested in all shows and exhibitions that aim to show the strength of our real estate market. We are keen to support them," said Majid Saqer Al Marri. "Indeed, we fully support this event as it provides the perfect platform for developers to operate and grow".

"There will be many new features of this year's edition. One of the most important differentiators is the debut of the real estate brokers' village in collaboration with DLD. The brokers will offer the best and latest properties in Dubai, and visitors will have access to special discounts and offers during the three-day show," said Al Shezawi.

Masood Al Awar, Chief Officer (Commercial) at Dubai Properties said: "with over a decade of experience as one of the top developers in the country, Dubai Properties' objective is to continue to play a key role in shaping the future of the real estate industry. We are positive that our strategic partnership with one of the most influential and dynamic shows in the region, the International Property Show will support us in further promoting our projects that are strategically developed in answer to verified social and economic needs, as well as meet with current and potential customers and investors."

Sandeep Jaiswal, Chief Operating Officer, Azizi Developments, one of the main sponsors of IPS, said he is upbeat on real estate projects that will be showcased by companies at the show, before explaining that they fulfil unmet market needs. Jaiswal also said that his company's participation is a great opportunity to showcase its projects, and to meet other developers and share ideas.

The organisers announced they anticipate the number of visitors to exceed 16,000, and the number of deals made to exceed those announced in 2016.

IPS 2017 will be collocated with the 7th Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) and inaugural edition of the "Future Cities Show", from 2-4 April at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
