Cushman & Wakefield has added Washington State to the geographical responsibility of its Managing Principal for Oregon, Alison Beddard.

The new appointment expands on her current role as Managing Principal for the state of Washington, which she has held since January 2021.

Based in the firm’s Seattle office in the Pacific Northwest, Beddard will oversee the strategic growth of the firm’s business lines in the Portland market in Oregon in addition to her existing role overseeing the Seattle and Bellevue markets in Washington. She will report to Matt Chatham, Cushman & Wakefield’s Regional President, Northwest.

“Alison is a highly experienced and accomplished leader and has excelled in each market she has helped oversee at Cushman & Wakefield,” says Dan Broderick, Cushman & Wakefield’s President, Americas Advisory. “Her proven hands-on approach, emphasis on authentic relationships, and commitment to excellence will remain valued assets in driving growth in Oregon, Washington and across the critical Pacific Northwest region.”

Our clients and team members are always Alison’s top priority, and her leadership style, tenacity and infectious enthusiasm have made her a deeply respected and appreciated leader at C&W and across our industry.

Chatham adds, “Alison’s tireless efforts at the helm of these local markets has been an instrumental force in the growth in our business as well as talented roster across multiple services lines. Our clients and team members are always Alison’s top priority, and her leadership style, tenacity and infectious enthusiasm have made her a deeply respected and appreciated leader at C&W and across our industry.”

Prior to assuming the role of Managing Principal in Washington state in early 2021, Beddard served as Cushman & Wakefield’s Managing Principal for the state of Utah. She began her career as a broker with Cushman & Wakefield in 2005, specializing in cutting-edge portfolio strategies in office leasing, and acquisition and dispositions of assets for institutional occupiers, private investors and nonprofit organizations.

Beddard has also been recognized for her work in the community and toward the equality and advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry. She is currently on the National Leadership Council for Cushman & Wakefield’s Women’s Integrated Network (WIN). She also served as 2017 President of CREW Network, an international organization of 12,000+ members. During her term as President, she guided the Board through a global expansion, the selection and onboarding of a new CEO and a comprehensive redesign and launch of CREW’s online networking community.

Additionally, she has also been honored by numerous publications, including Utah Business Magazine’s Thirty Women to Watch, Real Estate Forum Magazine’s Women of Influence, and most recently has been named to the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Power 100 List each of the past two years.

A graduate of Virginia Tech, she says: “Oregon is an alluring state for business as well as employment, residential real estate and tourism, with Greater Portland serving as a key economic engine and innovation hub for the state. I am excited to broaden the purview of my leadership into this dynamic market supported by diverse industries—including many global brands—and an exceptional talent base. I look forward to working hand in glove with our team of market-leading experts to drive collaboration and success for our clients while continuing to build new opportunities.”
