The RO Group has sold the Westacre Service Station in Salisbury to lessee Gardner Garages for £2.3 million.

Located a mile from the city centre on the A36 Bath/Southampton Road, the service station offers modern and convenient facilities including a Londis convenience store and Post Office.

David Kershaw, Group Real Estate Director, says: “We have enjoyed a close and productive relationship with Gardner Garages as tenants for some time and are delighted that they have now become owners of the site.

We will continue to maintain a very active presence in the Salisbury region, where we have operated for a number of years, not least through our ownership of Helix at Solstice Park in Amesbury, a flagship industrial scheme that plays a major role in the local economy through its large size and its diverse and growing range of tenants.

“The proceeds from this sale are earmarked for strategic reinvestment within our portfolio. RO Group remains committed to enhancing existing projects, such as the ongoing refurbishment of Silbury House in Milton Keynes. Our vision for Silbury House extends beyond the horizon, aspiring to make it the most sustainable office building in the region. Simultaneously, our pursuit of new opportunities is underscored by recent acquisitions in Nottingham and Bristol.”

RO were advised by Womble Bond Dickinson.  Harrison Clark Rickerbys represented the purchaser in the transaction.
