A new AI solution from PropTech knowledge company AktivBo is applying AI and machine learning to the tenant experience.

Promising cost and time savings for real estate operators who rely on feedback from tenant surveys, the platform uses generative AI and machine learning to classify large quantities of tenant feedback in an effective, structured manner.

After being anonymised to preserve privacy, data is transferred and stored in encrypted form and deleted after it has been recorded using parameters set by AktivBo customers.

Martin Talme, the company’s Product and Business Manager, explins: “The ambition of the AI service is to further streamline and support the continuous improvement of customer service by real estate companies.

“Major advances have taken place in AI technology in recent times and most industries have jumped on the bandwagon to create new and more efficient automated services. However, any systems and services will only be as smart as the data they are fed.

“By applying our acquired expertise and knowledge of the real estate sector, we can add real value and show specific ROI.

“The service that has been developed is scalable and works for different types of processes in a real estate company’s customer journey. It can also identify actions for both housing and commercial real estate companies at different data levels with drilled-down possibilities. Specific suggestions for improvement are provided automatically based on tenants’ written responses, and are then categorised according to business area and type of action.

“Every year, we collect over 1.2 million text responses from different types of surveys, and we chose to use these as a starting point for the development of the service. There is great value in the tenants’ own words which contribute towards understanding.”
