Another Year of Record Revenues
STRABAG Property and Facility Services (STRABAG PFS) has reported another record year, with 2018 revenues of € 1.12 billion matching the group’s previous record in 2017.
Germany accounted for € 1.00 billion of the total, with group subsidiaries increased revenues from the provision of hard facilities management and building management services by 4.8 per cent to € 625 million. Revenues generated by support services for the infrastructure and industrial sectors fell to € 303 million, with revenue from property management services also falling marginally to € 75 million.
STRABAG PFS generated revenues of € 115 million outside Germany.
Other key factors reported included a reduction of the group’s worldwide headcount from 13,748 employees in 2017 to 12,781 employees over the course of the 12-month accounting period, during which the group extended or won contracts from major national and international companies (including DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung, Airbus, DEMIRE, IMMOFINANZ, Nordex Energy, Vodafone and Telefónica).
2018 was also noteworthy for STRABAG PFS’s entry into the European healthcare sector, and its acquisition of CORPUS SIREO’s property management from Swiss Life.
Announcing the results, Martin Schenk who leads the group’s Services Division with Marion Henschel and is also Chair of the STRABAG Group management board, said:
“The current financial year 2019 is a year of consolidation. We are taking advantage of this phase and doing all we can to ensure that the revenue decline expected for this year will be offset in the medium term, with acquisitions in Poland, for example – provided these acquisitions fit with our portfolio. I am confident that we will succeed in doing so, not least thanks to our high quality standards and technical expertise”.
