Veteran commercial real estate and investment sales professional Steve Avanzino has joined Cushman & Wakefield as a director of its Land Advisory Group in Reno, Nevada and a member of the firm’s Land Advisory Group for the Americas.

Avanzino specializes in the sale of large land holdings, disposition and acquisition, and land portfolios across the entire state of Nevada.

During his 10-year real estate career, he has transacted over 25,000 acres, including production agriculture and ranching properties, through his family owning a generational agriculture business. He has consistently closed over US $45 million in transactions each year for the last three years in the industry. Avanzino also brings expertise in Nevada’s water rights system to his new role.

“We are thrilled having Steve aboard the Cushman & Wakefield team as an instrumental broker and expert of land property in the state of Nevada. Steve possesses extensive experience and knowledge of competitive Land, Parcels and regulatory issues to assist property owners in maximizing their real estate values, while also maintaining a vast knowledge of water rights which is important to our clients understanding and decision-making,” says Christina Roush, Managing Principal for Cushman & Wakefield’s Nevada and San Diego offices.

Avanzino adds, “I am excited to be part of Cushman & Wakefield and the exceptional platform and culture the firm provides. I believe my decades of transactional experience plus tracking of Nevada land together with the firm’s robust resources will be game-changing for our clients. Nevada has many great land opportunities up and down the state, whether in maintaining their current use or the possibility of redevelopment into higher and better use.”

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Avanzino had 20 years of successful corporate management, financial and real estate experience. His professional experience includes strategic planning, maximizing returns on investments, and management of company resources.
