With National BBQ taking place in the UK from 4th to 10th July, residential developer Quintain Living is showcasing the facililities on offer to residents of one of its friendly community settings.
Firing up the BBQ come rain or shine is an intrinsic part of summer in the UK. Yet many renters in London miss out on the joys of cooking al fresco due to a lack of facilities or permissions to do so. That’s not the case for residents of Quintain Living – the award-winning management company overseeing the rental of more than 3,250 apartments in Wembley Park. At Quintain Living’s Robinson building, the bold and eclectic design delivers a BBQ area with a difference, in the form of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Garden. Nestled behind brightly painted giant flowerpots and beneath a frame twined with climbing plants, festoon lights and imitation crystal chandeliers, residents can enjoy cooking and dining al fresco. Wooden panels open up to reveal a bright pink kitchenette, while there’s an oil drum BBQ to satisfy residents who love to grill.
Over in Ferrum, which provides New York warehouse loft-inspired apartments, BBQs are spread across the south-facing podium gardens with plenty of seating and dining areas, along with lawn games to enjoy.

At the sophisticated Madison, with its mid-century modern interior design and park-side setting, residents can relax and unwind in the extensive podium garden. The cleverly designed BBQ area has zones that allow residents to be as private or as connected as they wish while using the space. At the heart of the garden is a circular lawn that invites the spreading of picnic blankets on which to enjoy some freshly grilled morsels.
BBQing is also central to the garden experience at Canada Gardens, where the focus on family living includes an acre of outdoor space. Outdoor kitchen/entertaining spaces are dotted around the garden, which is also home to an exciting pirate ship playpark – the perfect place for youngsters to build up a hearty appetite. The urban country oasis of Canada Gardens is also home to popular, hireable allotment beds, where residents can grow salad leaves, herbs, tomatoes, peppers… all those fresh, healthy extras that elevate a BBQ feast to the next level.

Canada Gardens, meanwhile, features designer work-from-home sheds surrounded by flowers and shrubs, as well as a clubhouse where residents can drop in for a cooling drink and to enjoy a bit of me-time.
